Virgin has always been a brand associated with no frills simplicity and great value. You also get a free USB modem based on a 24 month plan. Virgin uses the Optus 3G/HSDPA network so they have great coverage across Australia.

Coverage

Virgin uses the Optus 3G/HSPDA network, so you’ll get ever-expanding 3G coverage across 87% of the population. If you leave these areas you may still be able to get Optus GPRS which will provide internet access at dial up type speeds.

Prepaid Wireless Broadband

Virgin is one of the few companies to offer Prepay Wireless Broadband. The USB Modem costs $179 – then simply recharge online with credit card when you need more data.
