Virgin

Virgin Wireless Broadband

Virgin has always been a brand associated with no frills simplicity and great value. They have just one Wireless Broadband plan, so it’s straight-forward, excellent value and easy to understand.  It’s $39 per month for 5GB of data allowance. You also get a free USB modem based on a 24 month plan. Virgin uses the Optus 3G/HSDPA network so they have great coverage across Australia.

There is a $5 Bundle discount for getting a post-paid Mobile with Virgin, which will bring your Wireless Broadband cost down to $34 per month. Virgin has some great mobile phone offers especially with the iPhone and their Capped plans. Check out the details on our Virgin Mobile Deals page.

One of the other significant benefits of going with VIrgin is that they have no excess fees if you go over your 5GB limit, your speed is simply slowed down. So no nasty suprises from unexpectedly high bills.

So it’s all pretty easy with Virgin – check out their website for more details and to sign up!

Coverage

Virgin uses the Optus 3G/HSPDA network, so you’ll get ever-expanding 3G coverage across 87% of the population. If you leave these areas you may still be able to get Optus GPRS which will provide internet access at dial up type speeds.
